Plot

In 1980s Indiana, a group of young friends witness supernatural forces and secret government operations. In their search for answers, the kids uncover a series of unusual mysteries. Former Journey singer Steve Perry said that the Stranger Things season 4 remix of Journey’s ’80s hit “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” was done pretty much the way he originally intended in the ’80s, but lacked the technology.

In several episodes, people are seen “interrupting” someone who is talking on a two-way radio or CB, meaning one person is talking/transmitting while another person is transmitting to interrupt them, and then the other person hears the interruption and stops transmitting. This has been done a few times on children’s CB radios and on radios used by police. Those radios – CBs and police radios from the era of the show – don’t work that way.

The reality is far from it

I’m one of those people who was scared off by the idea that this was a kids’ drama. From the commercials you’d swear this was for 4pm after school. It’s a pretty intense, totally engaging drama, the kind of show you can’t help but watch.

It’s like The Goonies and the Quatermass experiment

Having grown up in the 80s I can appreciate the production detail, it’s like they took a step back and filmed it live, it’s incredibly well done. I really like the music, it’s so fitting, it takes me back to the wonderful shows of the 80’s. Quality in both season 1 and 2, I love the build up and tension that abounds in season 1.
