Plot

The film was supposed to follow a little boy who is separated from his father during World War II. The boy discovers the island of Sodor where he meets Thomas the Tank Engine and tries to find his father.. This was the second film. franchise (following "Thomas and the Magic Railroad" in 2000) and was slated for release in 2010. Due to multiple production issues, the film was constantly pushed back until it was finally canceled in 2015 when HIT Entertainment pulled out of the business. and sold the rights to Mattel.
