Plot

11 year old Alfonso, heir to Don Quixote, and his 3 imaginary and musical rabbits join Pancho and Victoria to save their beloved city of La Mancha from a powerful storm. References: E.T. (1982). This is a bit of a different movie for the family. It has a nice message and a lot of humor, and the rabbits are great! Adorable characters, great graphics, and great cinematography. It has a handmade look, which makes it look similar to Laika’s designs, but more cheerful. The editing is a bit fast at times, but maybe that’s appropriate for today. We were surprised by the quality of the animation, especially for an independent film. It reminds me of The Goonies or Stand by Me. It has a lot of movie references, which we liked. The ending is very emotional, and the whole story made us talk a lot with the family after the movie.
